报告摘要

Sustainable development of highway construction demands the adoption of recycling various materials which are often perceived as sustainable materials. However, the definition of sustainable materials for highway construction can not be simply based on the use of a recycled materials, or simple laboratory experiment parameters. Instead, a systematic assessment needs to be adopted, including accurate field performance prediction of the recycled materials, and vigorous quantification of impact of the use of recycled materials on environment and energy. This presentation will illustrate a systematic approach to assess the sustainability of a materials from a mechanistic and scientific aspects, such as development of robust field performance models and quantification of greenhouse gas emission based on thermodynamics.

主讲人简介

温海防博士是美国华盛顿州立大学副教授、终身教授、博士生导师,考夫冠名教授,杰出导师;中组部第二批千人计划(青年)入选者,主要从事路面及路面材料的研究。发表SCI 文章57篇。他担任多个SCI期刊审稿人及副主编,2个美国国家合作道路科研计划课题(NCHRP)第一负责人, 6个NCHRP专家组成员,5个美国交通科研理事会委员会(TRB)委员,多个国际会议组委会主席,成员,或者论题主席。他被授予华盛顿州立大学工程学部优秀科研教授,2013和2014 连续两年土木工程学院评委优秀科研教授。他的科研项目被美国交通官员协会(AASHTO)评为高价值科研项目,及4篇论文被美国交通科研理事会(TRB)评为有直接应用价值及重大贡献。
